Series of posters (other versions here: Peeps! Take the Train Home, DUDE! Take the Train Home. I designed for Amtrak and Vermont Agency Of Transportation to be used on college campuses around the region to encourage students to use the train. I’m working with the dynamic Gerianne Smart of Smart Communication on this 2010 campaign.

This is a poster we designed for the soon to be released Pasture Productions film “The Summer of Walter Hacks” This Vermont independent flick directed by Vermont dairy farmer, actor and musician George Woodard was produced by marketing whiz Gerianne Smart and premiers at the Green Mountain Film Festival in Montpelier this weekend. Several Vermont musicians appear in and contribute to this old time production including … Vermont fiddler, songwriter and composer Pete Sutherland, country, rockabilly rebels, Danny Coane and Billy Bratcher from the Starline Rhythym Boys and several other Green Mountain bow-pullers. Don’t miss this great Vermont film!

This is the Spring 2010 Vermont Life ad that I designed as part a continuing campaign for Amtrak and the state of Vermont .. great to be working with Gerianne Smart on this project …over the next few months we’ll also be creating a newspaper print ad campaign, radio spots as well as posters, brochures, websites and social networking pages.

Rich Luhr came to me in the fall of 2003 with an idea for a magazine that would be dedicated to the zany Airstream universe and be called Airstream Life. DOWNLOAD A SAMPLE ISSUE HERE. As I have always been into vintage cars and had dreamed of owning a vintage Airstream one day, this project was right up my alley. To get started we had to sell Airstream on the idea .. so Rich came up with some copy and I put together a four page version of the proposed magazine. They loved it .. so we were on our way. I built the first website for the magazine where we took subscriptions for six months or so .. with our first issue coming out in the summer of 2004. During my four year stint as part owner and art director, I designed and produced the entire eighty page magazine four times a year.

Having a lot of fun collaborating with Gerianne Smart on a project for Amtrak and the Vermont Agency of Transportation creating a campaign to raise in-state awarenessof Amtrak’s Vermonter and the Ethan Allen Express as well as to let potential southern New England and metropolitan visitors to the state know that the train is an extra comfortable and hassle-free way to get to Vermont. TV, radio, print advertising and billboards in metropolitan train/subway stations will be utilized in the the campaign. I’ll be using the amazing images of Vermont photographer Dennis Curran for the print advertising.

I designed this logo for Middlebury Community Television 20 years ago. Both station and logo are still going strong.

Todd Cambio the genius behind Fraulini Guitars makes amazing guitars! I know first-hand because I have played them .. but don’t take my word for it …. they are the choice of several of the top blues and traditional performers in the country today including Paul Geremia, Alvin Youngblood Hart, Ari Eisinger, John Miller, Frank Basile and others.

Todd’s guitars are based on the classic designs of early twentieth century builders such as; Oscar Schmidt, Lyon & Healy, Larson Brothers, Regal and Tonk Brothers. Todd asked me to create a large poster that looked like a page out of a 1920s Sears Roebuck catalog that he could send to customers and guitar shops that sell sell his instruments. After studying some 1920s Sears Catalogs I took the photos that he provided into photoshop and massaged them into line-art images that captured that old Sears catalog look. I also used a couple of distressed fonts to mimic the printing quality of that time period.

Vermont life sell sheets. Another collaboration with Gerianne Smart of Smart Communication.

Lois Blaisdell’s great GLUTEN-FREE bakery is located in Essex Junction, Vermont you can also order her baked goodies on her website. Lois learned to bake in a Charm Comfort woodstove like the one used in the logo. Gerianne Smart headed up the marketing effort that produced Lois’s new website, product labels, signage and advertising.

The Addison County Community Trust works to provide affordable housing to the low and middle-income people of Addison County.
